Botany Bay National Park, La Perouse, southern Sydney coastline, New South Wales In low woodland on old dune overlying sandstone headland, in this case on the more sheltered western slope. The bud caps are in the process of being shed to reveal the expanding stamens. I am not sure if they always shrivel and turn brown like this, in this species.
