Bluebarred Parrotfish (Scarus ghobban)

The blue barred parrotfish is widespread in the tropics from South Africa to Japan, Northern Australia and French Polynesia. The blue bars are distinctive for this species; as the fish grows they turn into blue margins on the scales.
