Booderee National Park, Jervis Bay Territory, Australia. We had a couple of these delightful little rarely-seen marsupials visit our camp during our recent visit to Booderee NP. They're nocturnal carnivores, and make cone-shaped (what a surprise with that nose!) diggings looking for insects and other foodstuffs found underground, in rotting logs or on the forest floor. Like many burrowing marsupials, they have a reverse-facing pouch. They're surprisingly noisy, emitting a decent grunt whilst searching for food.
