Distinguishing features

This is the tallest of the Tectus species in relation to basal diameter in the Lizard Island area, at least 1.2 times taller than wide.

  • Up to 3.5 cm (height according to Wilson, 1993)
  • Up to 2.8 cm (basal diameter according to Wilson, 1993)
  • Up to 4.3 cm (height of Day Reef specimen)
  • Up to 3.3 cm (basal diameter of Day Reef specimen)
