Distinguishing features

A solid shell with a distinctive thick margin. Pale blue/grey above with brown patches and many small white spots. A distinct dark blotch on each side extends onto the underside which is otherwise white. Strong teeth line both sides of the aperture and extend nearly to the margins.

  • Up to 5 cm (length according to Wilson, 1993)
